Nourishing Neighbors to Flourish
Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once,
but of stretching out to mend the part of the world
that is within our reach. -Clarissa Pinkola Estes
Volunteers, the heart of HEART!
Volunteers handled over 1.6 million pounds of food multiple times during the first six months of 2020; grocery store pickups, weighing food, stocking shelves, packing boxes of food, delivering boxes to curbside, loading boxes of food into hungry neighbor’s cars. Additional volunteers operate the back office, maintain communications, manage finances, invite future champions, and spread the cause.
